Websites are more than useful than ever in this forward-looking age of web apps. Unfortunately, they'rhenium also acquiring more annoying, with every internet site under the sun request for your location or permission to send you notifications.
Alerts from websites are a great approximation in hypothesis, but they can as wel get redundant. Why get an alert from your PC around a new message when your phone is openhanded you the same ping? Or, even worse, Cortana may also send the ping to your Windows 10 background, giving you triple notifications?
Nonentity needs all that noise. Here's how to turn off all notifications in Chrome.
How to cut Chrome notifications
The process is actually pretty simple. Click along the menu icon (the 3 orthostatic dots) in the amphetamine right-hand corner of Chromium-plate. Then from the sink menu, select Settings.
Next, roll down the settings page and click the link Show advanced settings… at the bottom. In one case the Page expands scroll down to the "Privacy" section, and so select Content settings…
In the dada-up windowpane that appears, look for the Notifications fill in-heading. Nowadays we've strike the gist of the process.
Here you'll find leash radio buttons:
- Allow completely sites to show notifications
- Ask when a site tries to show notifications (suggested)
- Do not allow whatever situation to show notifications
Aside default, Chromium-plate is set to ask when a site wants to deliver notifications. To turn them sour completely, select the end option to not allow notifications. Next, click Done and so close the settings tab.
